Aroworlds: Aromantic Creativity

Hello! I'm K. A. Cook and I'm better known on aromantic Tumblr as the mod of aroworlds. I'm looking to make a another space where aro-spec creatives can safely share their creations with aro-spec audiences, along with discussions about creativity, media, aro-spec representation and aro-spec community. Sadly, Tumblr is making this rather difficult at the moment...

I do not require that works posted or linked here be solely about being aro-spec. People are welcome to provide works that aren’t really about aromanticism, like gen fanworks, but just happen to have an aro-spec character or are low romance.

Aro and aro-spec folks of all aro-spec, orientation and gender identities are welcome to subscribe and post. Works that depict QPRs and the romantic relationships and attractions experienced by folk who aren’t alloromantic (demiromantic or aroflux characters, for example) are absolutely welcome. Low or no romance is not a requirement for posting if the work contains aro-spec characters (but please tag as such for romance-repulsed subscribers).

Works recommended by aro-spec folks do not have to be specifically aro-spec; a lot of us relate to Word of God aromanticism or just no/low romance narratives, and these are absolutely worthy of discussion.

Creators do not have to be aro-spec, but aro-spec creators will be prioritised. Please note that this community does not accept content centred on alloromantic asexuality without an aro-spec character.

This community will not accept posts by alloromantic creators enquiring after aro-spec sensitivity readers or the best ways to write aromantic-spectrum characters.

This community welcomes the following:

• Original media submissions with aro protagonists, aro themes, aro storylines or low/no romance (poetry, prose, film, music, comics, artwork
• Fanfiction and fancontent (poetry, prose, comics, artwork)
• Reviews, links, recommendations and discussions about aro fictional media (or media that appeals to aros)
• Aro creators seeking to connect with other aros for editing, sensitivity reading, support as creators, promotion, advertising, networking, etc.
• Conversation and discussion posts about aro-spec experiences and the aro-spec community

It doesn’t matter if you are professionally published, self-published or a hobbyist creator. It doesn’t matter if your work is flawless or a messy first draft you just want someone to read. It is all welcome here.

Sexually-explicit media is allowable here as long as it is flagged as 18+, placed behind a cut and tagged as explicit. Fuller descriptions of permitted and unpermitted content and interactions are described on the Tumblr about page, but it's worth noting that works celebrating or romanticising violence, rape, paedophilia, abuse or hatred are not allowed in this community.

Lastly, as I am coming here from Tumblr, I don't yet have a tagging system in place for others to use. I kindly beg your patience while I take a couple of days to come up with this and decide on a better theme/style for this community.
